Maker faire coming to Wynwood Saturday

Technologists, inventors, entrepreneurs, artisans and filmmakers are coming together Saturday for the area’s first Miami Mini Maker Faire in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. As a celebration of South Florida’s emerging maker movement, the family friendly festival will include interactive displays, workshops, demonstrations and activities for all ages.

Organizers are expecting about 1,000 people at the fair, which will feature more than 60 exhibitors, showcasing large and small projects involving robotics, electronics, 3D printing, crafts and creative construction. It takes place at The LAB Miami, 400 NW 26th St., and nearby locations from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; cost is $5. More information:
