Pitbull launches fragrance for men and women

Mr. Worldwide is right. One of the 305’s favorite sons, Pitbull, has launched an eponymous men’s and women’s scent, and gave an exclusive interview to Women’s Wear Daily. The sharp-dressed rapper, also known in some Little Havana circles as Armando Christian Perez, told the haute fashion magazine he was “always intrigued by fragrance” because he was raised by women and “great smelling products.”

Perez, 32, will officially announce his venture at his New Year’s Eve concert at AmericanAirlines Arena, WWD reports, but preselling starts Dec. 1 on Amazon. After Valentine’s Day, expect a mass rollout to stores like Perfumania.

The “sexy, powerful” cylindrical” bottles were inspired by the architecture Pit saw while touring the Middle East and Asia.

Business cents

In other rapper news, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is visiting TigerDirect.com’s Mall of the Americas location for a meet-and-greet at 1-3 p.m. Saturday, 7795 W Flagler St. The platinum-selling performer wants to make consumers aware of SMS Audio, his audio headphone and accessories brand.

“I’m confident in the technology and design we’ve incorporated into the entire line, and really love when I have the opportunity to show them to my fans in person,” 50 Cent said in a release. He adds that a portion of each U.S. sale of SMS Audio products will help provide meals to food-insecure families nationwide through Feeding America.

X’ed out

Better luck next reality show, Celine Polenghi.

Sadly, the Key Biscayne singer, along with her band Sweet Suspense, got the heave-ho Thursday night on Fox’s The X Factor.

But we expect good things from the talented 16-year-old junior at Carrolton School of the Sacred Heart.
