Robber beats clerk, takes cash register from Miami gas station


Miami police are looking for an armed robber who beat a clerk and stole an entire cash register from a gas station Tuesday morning.

Just after 10 a.m. the robber walked into the Valero at 7791 Biscayne Blvd, and demanded money from the clerk.

He then walked behind the counter and attacked the clerk with a metal pipe, grabbed the entire cash register and walked out. He escaped in a stolen 1998 red Jeep Cherokee bearing Florida tag 371WVX.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’10, 250 pounds. He is bald and clean shaven, last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and black shorts and had a bandage wrapped around his lower right leg.

The victim suffered lacerations to his face in addition to several bumps and bruises to his head.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact the Miami police’s Robbery Unit at 305-603-6370.
