The passage of the Jackson Health System bond issue was a sad day for Miami-Dade taxpayers. Anyone concerned about the Miami-Dade Commission’s oversight of these funds need only recall voter approval of the sales-tax increase to be used for improvements to public transportation.
Commissioners emasculated the oversight committee so that they could gain control of the money. They have proven time and again their inability to properly manage and spend the money that taxpayers have entrusted to them. Here we go again!
