Florida State Seminoles’ Terrence Brooks out vs. Wake Forest

Miami Herald Writer

Florida State will be without starting safety Terrence Brooks on Saturday at Wake Forest. The senior sustained a concussion in the second half against Miami and has not practiced this week.

He will be replaced by freshman Nate Andrews and redshirt sophomore Keelin Smith.

“I say it all the time ... you got to have depth,” coach Jimbo Fisher said.

• With a noon kickoff time Saturday, Florida State opted to depart Thursday night, as opposed to leaving Friday.

“Because we play Saturday at noon. You get up early Friday morning, you’re in a hurry,” Fisher said. “There’s never a time to refocus on the game and relax a minute.”
