Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher expects pressure from Wake Forest

Miami Herald Writer

Asked whether FSU would do anything special to prepare for Wake Forest — which has given his team problems on the road lately and always has a few tricks up its sleeve — Jimbo Fisher refused to get too specific.

“They’ve always pressured us in the past; we’re expecting that again,” he said. “Need to be able to handle those things but still be balanced and do what we have to do. Be ready to mentally play. It’s always a game up there. [Wake Forest coach] Jim Grobe does a great job with his guys. We prepare the same for all these teams all the time. We work on those things a lot and spend a lot of time in that area.”

Added redshirt freshman quarterback Jameis Winston: “Our mind-set is the same every week. We’re going to prepare the same. We’re going to practice the same and hopefully be better as the week goes on. It’s just going to be the same week for us.”
