I was disheartened to hear of the Miami Dolphins’ bullying of teammate Jonathan Martin. Children are taught that bullying is wrong. To have to say that to professional athletes is bewildering. The NFL should have zero tolerance for such reprehensible behavior. This allegations damage the reputation and image of the Dolphins and the league. Americans expect better role models for young children.
The accused reflect poorly on former Dolphins who have used their privileged status for philanthropy and to help those who are less fortunate. These boys have a lot of growing up to do.
