Booker T. Washington stays perfect with shutout of Edison

Booker T. Washington, ranked No. 1 nationally, overwhelmed Edison (1-8, 0-3) in a District 8-4A game.

By the end of the second quarter, the Tornadoes led 41-0.

All together, Booker T. scored nine touchdowns to keep an untarnished record of 10-0 overall and 3-0 in the district.

The high-scoring game gave backup quarterback Malik Atkins a chance to shine.

Atkins completed 4 of 5 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown.

Jaime Taylor added 3-of-4 passing for 59 yards with a touchdown.

Running back Trawone Johnson ran four times for 28 yards and scored two touchdowns.
