Over the past several years we have been swamped with news columns, commentators and, of course, President Obama, expounding on the Affordable Care Act.
But no one has discussed the origin of the ACA. Who are the authors of these 25,000 pages of regulations that few have read? Was it a committee? If so, who headed it? Did it include congressional lawmakers or their staff members? What was the chain of command?
One thing is certain, it had to have a huge number of trained people with the legal, medical and research knowledge, with thousands of square feet of office space and the necessary equipment to produce this volume.
Where have they been closeted? It would be interesting to see some names and faces that so far have been hidden.
