TALLAHASSEE -- Freshman wide receiver Isaiah Jones had surgery on a stress fracture in his foot on Thursday, and coach Jimbo Fisher said he has a chance to be back by the end of the season.
“He had a stress fracture that he had to get taken care of,” Fisher said. “Hopefully, we will get him back by the bowl game.”
Jones will “probably [miss] the rest of the season — the regular season,” Fisher said.
“He’s too far down the road [for a redshirt]. We’ll try to get him back; hopefully, we will get him back for the bowl practices and the bowl game.”
Fans are encouraged to wear garnet for Saturday’s game against Miami and use the hashtag #WearGarnet this weekend to promote the effort.
