It will be a case of dueling chefs and charities Wednesday evening, when two long-established culinary fundraisers take place a few miles apart:
The 16th annual March of Dimes Signature Chef Auction is at 6:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency, 400 SE Second Ave., Miami, with chefs including Timon Balloo, Wolfgang Birk, David Bracha, Aaron Brooks, Alberto Cabrera, Nina Compton, Jamie DeRosa, Fernando Desa, Daisy Diaz, Eric Do, Paolo Dorigato, Todd Erickson, Conor Hanlon, Willy Hernandez, Alan Hughes, Brian Nasajon, Luis Quant, Philippe Ruiz, Doug Sisk and Cesar Zapata. Easter Seals South Florida’s 25th annual Festival of Chefs is set for Comber Hall, 1251 Palermo Ave., Coral Gables, with Univision and Cooking Channel host Ingrid Hoffmann plus South Florida chefs Elgin Woodman, (the apparently double-booked) Alberto Cabrera, Tom Azar, Giorgio Rapicavoli, Andre Bienvenue, Patricio Sandoval, Brian Molloy, Jorge Montes, Allen Susser and Kareem Anguin.
