Marvin Davidson of Weston and Rick Fieretag of Hutchinson Island fished out of Bimini with captain Steve Amarant of Davie and caught six wahoo to 42 pounds, bull dolphin, barracudas, red grouper to 10 pounds and more than 60 flag yellowtail snappers. … Captain Jim Hobales of Caught Lookin’ Charters reported finding quite a few mutton snappers to 17 inches, mangrove snappers to four pounds, jacks, bluerunners and barracudas in the Finger Channels of South Biscayne Bay. All of the fish ate live pilchards and Rapala Skitter Walks. … Captain Jimbo Thomas from the charter boat Thomas Flyer out of Bayside Marina reported dolphins are being caught from just outside the outer reef to 1,000 feet of water. Kingfish and bonitos are being caught in 120 feet of water. Swordfishing has been good both day and night.

A few sailfish are starting to show up. Cero mackerel, mutton snappers and a lot of yellowtail snappers are being caught off the reefs. … Captain Bill Hauck from the party boat Sea King out of Marathon reported his bottom fishing trips are producing a steady catch of yellowtail snappers along with some big black groupers, mutton snappers and a few kingfish. … Captain Chris Johnson from the charter boat SeaSquared out of Marathon reported offshore trips are producing good catches of dolphins, blackfin tuna and skip jack tuna.
Captain Kevin Drennan of Slammer Guide Service out of Stuart reported the dolphin bite along offshore weedlines in 80 to 200 feet of water has been picking up daily. The fish are eating trolled ballyhoo. Plenty of blackfin tuna are biting in 120 feet of water. Along the beaches the mullet run continues and tarpon, mackerel, bluefish and jacks are feeding on these mullet. … Captain Nathaniel Lemmon of Edgewater reported big bull redfish are being caught in the Indian River near Titusville. Big sharks and tarpon are feeding around the inlets. Flounder fishing is starting to pick up in the river and plenty of sea trout are available over the grass flats in three to four feet of water.
Brett Cardinal from Davie and Mike Berla from Royal Palm Beach fished along the coast of Flamingo in Everglades National Park with free lined live pilchards and caught and released 20 snook to 29 inches, 20 redfish to 28 inches, sea trout and lots of jacks and ladyfish. Their guide was captain Alan Sherman of Get Em Sportfishing Charters.

During those trips his clients had steady action from redfish, snook, tarpon, sharks, mackerel, jacks, flounder and a nice 8-pound gag grouper.
During two days of fishing in the C-8 and C-4 canals, Jim Stockton of Ponte Vedra Beach and Gene Palatka fly-fished with Clouser Minnows and released 32 peacock bass to four pounds and one snook. … Captain Michael Shellen of Shellen Guide Service out of Buck Head Ridge reported plenty of largemouth bass were biting around Tin House Cove during the mornings.
