Fed biscuits boosted; new chef at Conrad

The Federal Food Drink & Provisions, 5132 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, reports that its cider-glazed, Cheddar-crusted “biskits” earn it a mention along with 24 other restaurants in a “Best Biscuits in the U.S.” feature on the Food & Wine magazine website.

Virgile Brandel, a French native with an international resume who most recently was the executive sous-chef at the Eden Roc, is the new executive chef at the Conrad Miami.

Buca di Beppo has opened an outlet at Coral Square Mall, 9469 W. Atlantic Blvd., Coral Springs; bucadibeppo.com.
