So our fools in Washington have managed to agree to keep the country going for another three to four months before the next crisis. The president has said an agreement for a longer-term solution should be reached by the end of the year. Not likely! All of the players in Washington, D.C., need an injection of statesmanship and a vision of what’s best for the United States, regardless of what radicals in their party may demand.
Our representatives must always remember that the vast majority of voters are moderate. We don’t want to have the government halted by temper tantrums best left in childhood. I hope voters will remember those who voted for the recent shutdown and will send them home in the next election. Our country deserves nothing less.
