I am very upset that Florida hasn’t overturned its ban on gay marriage. Thirteen states and the District of Columbia have allowed gay marriage, so why hasn’t Florida become number 14?
The times have changed in our nation and who you choose to have a relationship with is not as important as it used to be. Gay couples should be able to love who they want and marry who they want. The majority in Florida approve of gay marriage or civil union.
By 2014 I expect gay marriage to be legalized so that my uncle can marry the man he’s made a life with for 18 years.
