Tracy Mourning’s February DUI charge is now conveniently being changed to careless driving. Is this yet another example of why schools should never be named after living people?
Let’s not forget that Alonzo Mourning was once cited for leaving the scene after he ran into a vehicle that had been involved in a previous crash without giving information.
Granted that these relate to driving infractions, but schools and streets should only be named after a person who has passed away to avoid any future renaming should the person being honored gets into trouble.
