Florida State Seminoles ‘relaxed’ before Clemson game

Miami Herald Writer

Two days before its biggest game of the season — and one of the biggest games in Atlantic Coast Conference history — No. 5 Florida State is trying not to lose focus as it wraps up preparation for No. 3 Clemson.

“They’re relaxed. I think they feel comfortable about what they’re doing,” coach Jimbo Fisher said after the Seminoles ended their practice week Thursday. “They have confidence in what they’re doing and in themselves, and we know it’s going to be a tough game.

“We respect Clemson. They’ve got a great atmosphere and a great team, and we’re looking forward to the challenge.”

Thomas Out

Freshman linebacker Matthew Thomas (Miami Booker T. Washington High) has been ruled out for Saturday night’s game with a shoulder injury. Thomas has four tackles, two tackles for a loss and a sack this season.
