What are you reading now?

“I love characters who are consumed by their need to right the wrongs of a corrupt world. I’ve begun reading the latest books from two of the masters of the thriller genre — James Patterson’s Mistress and Daniel Silva’s The English Girl. A classic favorite, which I recently reread, is Sandra Brown’s The Witness.”

Elizabeth Romero, author of Means to an End

Romero appears at 7 p.m. Saturday at Books & Books, 265 Aragon Ave., Coral Gables and 7 p.m. Thursday at the Bookstore in the Grove, 3390 Mary St., Miami
