The Regal Princess, originally scheduled to launch in June of 2014, will be ready a couple weeks early.
Princess Cruises, part of Miami-based Carnival Corp., said Thursday that it has moved up the maiden voyage in Europe to May 20, followed by a six-day cruise departing May 27. Those who had booked the June 2 trip, originally the maiden voyage, have also been booked on the May 20 sailing and have until Nov. 15 to decide which trip they prefer.
The 3,560-passenger ship is a sister to Royal Princess, which launched this year. The Regal Princess will head to Fort Lauderdale in October of 2014 and spend the winter cruising the Caribbean.
