Miami Fire Rescue truck involved in a collision


A Miami Fire Rescue truck collided with a vehicle Thursday afternoon sending two people to the hospital in serious condition.

The accident between the southbound rescue truck and the northbound Toyota Corolla occurred around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Southwest Eighth Street and 37th Avenue.

The impact caused the red rescue truck slam into a pole.

The driver and passenger of the Toyota were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

The rescue truck driver was not injured.

The investigation into the crash continues.
