We send our representatives to Washington to make laws that we want.
However, year after year they dilly dally, take long breaks, bow to special interests and lobbyists and cannot even perform their basic function of passing a budget.
A majority of the American voters don’t like the Affordable Care Act in its present form.
But we didn’t have a chance to look at its parts and neither did most of the Congress.
It was rammed down out throats.
Very few of the members of the House and Senate actually represent what their constituents want. They just want to get re-elected.
I’m ashamed of all the current members of Congress.
Therefore, I will not vote for any incumbent in my district when they come up for reelection..
It is my sincere hope that the thinking readers of the Miami Herald will come to the same conclusion.
