Toxic Washington

 

I noticed that the turkey vultures started arriving in South Florida. I believe they came from Washington D.C., where it is too toxic for the vultures to survive.

  • Get involved to protect children

    Re Nick Hados’ letter, Help foster children, I was a Guardian ad Litem for four years. For personal reasons, I retired from the program a few years ago. After reading the Miami Herald’s series Innocents lost and realizing how many children died because of a shortage of child advocates, I felt a strong need to return to the program. I just completed re-training (in Broward) and expect to get a case within the next few days.
