Man shot outside Lauderdale Lakes club

Police on Wednesday are looking for as many as three suspects in a shooting outside a Lauderdale Lakes club.

A man outside the club Tuesday night was shot in the face, police said.

"The victim was on a bicycle," said Dani Moschella, spokeswoman for the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The search is on for suspects in the attack which occurred around 9:30 p.m. outside Club Xtasy Cafe, located in a strip mall in the 2500 block of North State Road 7.

Witnesses said the man was approached by up to three suspects who opened fire, wounding him in the face.

The victim, whose name had not been released, was in extremely critical condition. He was rushed to an area hospital.

Customers of the strip malls’ other businesses were detained and questioned by police, who also searched for nearby surveillance video that may have captured the suspects.
