There are sofas. And then there are sofas. The new Black Tie Sofa line, available exclusively in South Florida at Hallandale’s Renovation Room, is no average seating affair. Crafted using the most meticulously sourced materials—seats and cushions are made with an expanded polyurethane with low environmental impact and certified duck down for which the exact origin is known; frames are made with wood from firs, poplar and beeches; and all fabric is processed in Italy—the Black Tie line is as luxurious as it is practical. The company produces slipcovers for owners who like to switch up their look. (The combination pictured here is $11,524.) Michael Perez, creative director at Renovation Room, likens it to customizing a fine Italian suit. “It has a world of appeal,” he says. (Renovation Room, 500 E.
