Chris Lammons powers Plantation over Hollywood Hills

Special to the Miami Herald

Plantation (3-1) defeated host Hollywood Hills (2-2) at McArthur high school field 59-17 on Friday.

Quarterback Chris Lammons rushed for two touchdowns — including a 71-yard scamper, to lead the Colonels.

The Colonels picked up seven sacks and a defensive touchdown. The defensive score came off a botched long snap from Hollywood Hills. Plantation would also return a Spartans punt 50 yards for a score.

Colonels backup tailback Deonte Wright went down with an apparent ankle injury.

Plantation is now 4-1 and the Spartans are 2-3.
