Oshton Armstrong leads Columbus past Miami Beach

Twenty-four third-quarter points helped the Explorers (2-4, 1-1) to a vital district14-8A win over the Hi-Tides (4-2, 1-1) Friday at Memorial Field. Oshton Armstrong led Columbus with three touchdowns, all scored on short runs.

“The O-line did a great job tonight,” Armstrong said. “The credit goes to the O-line. They opened the holes and I just got it done.”

The first Columbus score came on a 21-yard pass by Tucker Beirne to Xavier Williams. Armstrong scored his first touchdown in the second quarter on a 2-yard run. The Explorers led 14-0 at halftime.
