Miami Springs picks up district win vs. Hialeah-Miami Lakes

Special to the Miami Herald

The Miami Springs Golden Hawks handily defeated the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans 42-3 on Friday night at Milander Park to win their fourth game in a row.

Miami Springs athlete Johnny Rembrick, who missed the past two games with a sprained ankle, looked like he hadn’t missed a step, finding the end zone three times in three different ways to help the Golden Hawks cruise to a win.

“He’s a great player, anxious to get back in there and he showed what he can do,” Miami Springs coach Darryel Bethune said of Rembrick.

The Trojans did not help their own cause, turning the ball over four times.
