Peyton Bender throws five touchdowns as Cardinal Gibbons defeats Northeast

Peyton Bender was 21 of 31 with 273 passing yards and five passing touchdowns in a Cardinal Gibbons blowout of Northeast (1-3) on Friday.

The Washington State recruit connected with the Louisville commit, George Rushing, 10 times for 115 yards and three touchdowns to keep the Chiefs (5-0) unbeaten.

“I think the offense played well,” Bender said. “George and I have good chemistry. We throw a lot on the weekends and in the offseason. We really worked on our timing.”

Hurricanes quarterback Dangelo Fulford was 27 of 45 with 297 pass yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions in the loss.
