Florida State Seminoles’ Tyler Hunter ruled out for Boston College game

Miami Herald Writer

No. 8 Florida State will be without a key part of its secondary on Saturday at Boston College.

Junior safety Tyler Hunter left last weekend’s win over Bethune-Cookman in the second half with a neck stinger and did not return. After missing practice all week, Hunter is out for Saturday.

He will be replaced by true freshman Jalen Ramsey — who slides from cornerback to safety — and sophomore PJ Williams will replace Ramsey at corner.

FSU will also be without a trio of freshmen: offensive linemen Wilson Bell and Ira Denson, and tight end Jeremy Kerr. Sophomore defensive end Mario Edwards, who missed last week’s game with a hand injury, is listed as probable.
