If you couldn’t take the plunge to see Austrian photographer Andreas Franke’s Sinking World exhibition aboard the USS Mohawk — the historic WWII warship forming an artificial reef off the coast of Sanibel Island — now’s your chance to see the show without getting your feet wet. Over the past three months at sea, Franke’s works imagining the daily lives of the Mohawk’s crew have evolved with an accumulation of marine life, which now provides a seaworthy patina. The images, each encased in steel-framed Plexiglas, will be on display Oct. 4-28 at the Alliance for the Arts in Fort Myers.
