JetBlue Airways said Monday it will introduce daily nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale and Trinidad and Tobago starting May 1.
The carrier said it is also starting twice-daily flights to the island nation from New York’s JFK International Airport on Feb. 24. The airline said the flights are still subject to receiving government operating authority.
In a statement, JetBlue vice president of network planning Scott Laurence said the airline is “dedicated to growing in South Florida and expanding our network to the Caribbean and Latin America.”
Flights will leave Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at 7 a.m. daily; the return flight from Piarco International Airport in Port of Spain departs at 11:45 a.m.
