Re the Sept. 15 editorial, Tale of two Groves: The residents of West Coconut Grove have been over looked for years. The last time we had any true representation was when the late Theodore Gibson was in office.
Commissioner, Marc Sarnoff only comes around when it’s time for reelection. This community needs jobs and affordable housing. Sarnoff has not addressed these issues as other commissioners have for their communities.
The only reason that the contamination has come into play and now is a major issue is because our commissioner lives across the street from Blanche Park. I grew up right across the the street from the Barnyard community center and still live in the Grove. But I would not have known anything about this situation had it not been for articles in the Miami Herald.
It is time for Sarnoff to step up and help the West Grove, especially in establishing jobs for the people who voted for him.
