Carlos Bertonatti’s 12-year sentence for killing someone isn’t sufficient.
Bertonatti was drunk and was driving his vehicle. He plowed into a cyclist, sped away from the scene and dragged the cyclist’s crumpled bicycle for more than two miles before the police caught up with him.
No one should get a pass because he has previously comforted others, writes songs or because he has a money-making future. Putting Bertonatti in prison isn’t sufficient.
He should get the death penalty.
