Daniel Neptune, Belen roll past Pines Charter

Special to the Miami Herald

The Wolverines rolled to victory behind Daniel Neptune’s two touchdowns and 76 yards rushing at home.

The Wolverines (1-1) scored on their first three possessions and their defense clamped down on the Jaguars’ (1-2) offense early.

A scary moment occurred during the second quarter when Pines Charters’ offensive lineman Troy Bottoms went down hard with an injury during a punt return. Bottoms stayed on the ground still until the paramedics arrived, they escorted him to Memorial West Hospital for precautionary reasons.
