The Gators have spent their bye week working on mistakes, according to coach Will Muschamp.

Struggles with turnovers (five) and red-zone woes haunted UF in its loss to Miami, and Muschamp said both issues have been stressed during the off week.

“Ball security. Take care of the football,” he said. “Scoring in the red zone and end every possession with a kick. If you do that, you win the game. We just need to take care of the football. … Give [the Hurricanes] credit. They took advantage of our mistakes.”

RECRUITING LOSS

Three-star offensive tackle Benjamin Knox (DeLand) recently decommitted from the Gators.

Knox is UF’s sixth decommitment from its 2014 class, but UF still has three verbal commitments from offensive linemen.
