If Michael Rosenberg and his group want to fund the Pets’ Trust, they should donate their own money or raise funds by losing weight, running a marathon, doing car washes or bake sales.
There are thousands of retirees in Miami-Dade County whose only income is Social Security. They cannot continue to be hit with new taxes from the school system, the county, Jackson Memorial Hospital or any other trust proposed by the many groups that believe they’re entitled to our money.
The mayor and the commissioners who voted against higher taxes did exactly what their constituents expect them to do. Why try to recall a commissioner who acted appropriately?
