I’m shocked at the obnoxious behavior of some of the young women greeting patients at doctors’ offices.
As a retired medical professional who always tried to make patients feel special, I’m aghast at being treated with a scowl and having a glass window slammed in my face regularly.
I have thanked the couple of offices where I have been treated with courtesy — it is so rare these days. None of us chooses to be at the mercy of these unhappy women. We are in the office as patients because we have to be there. They, too, will be patients one day. They should remember common courtesy — a hello and a smile go such a long way.
