Water main break squeezes traffic at State Road 7 and Stirling Road in Hollywood

A water main break closed the intersection of State Road 7 and Stirling Road in Hollywood Thursday afternoon near the Hard Rock Casino.

Repairs are underway, and the work is expected to squeeze traffic into the evening, according to the state Department of Transportation.

While repairs are being done, the eastbound Stirling Road to northbound State Road 7 is closed. The northbound State Road 7 left turn to westbound Stirling Road also is closed.

Alternate routes: East-west drivers should use Griffin Road to the north or Sheridan Street to the south. North-south drivers should use University Drive to the west.
