FIU Panthers injury updates

DNEAL@MIAMIHERALD.COM

Redshirt sophomore wide receiver Dominique Rhymes has a left shoulder joint injury that could keep him out of this week’s game against Bethune-Cookman. Rhymes, who missed the 2012 season with a preseason wrist injury, went down in the second quarter of Friday’s loss to UCF after diving for a pass.

• Redshirt sophomore running back Shane Coleman will be back in the lineup after missing the UCF game with a knee injury.

Redshirt junior safety Demarkus Perkins (knee) and sophomore linebacker Davison Colimon (ankle) have healed enough that FIU coach Ron Turner said they could play in an emergency Saturday but would be best served by another week’s rest.
