An armed robber posing as a customer at a Fort Lauderdale Walgreens Tuesday morning suddenly jumped the counter and grabbed a fistful of cash, according to police.

In trying to make a quick getaway, the robber hit an obstacle: A Good Samaritan tried to block his car with her own. The robber flashed his gun and threatened to use it. The fearful woman then moved out of the way, police said.

The robbery and getaway happened around 6:30 Tuesday morning at the Walgreens at 1515 E. Sunrise Blvd.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Police are looking for the robber, who left in a compact silver sedan, possibly a Honda or Hyundai.
