Plantation quarterback Chris Lammons went 10 for 15 for 167 yards and four touchdowns as the host Colonels (2-0) won at PAL Field in Plantation.
After a Taravella fumble near midfield midway in the first quarter, Lammons connected with wide receiver Jewison Dawkins for a 39-yard pass to set up first-and-goal from the 3-yard line. On the next play, Lammons hit Kendon Davis on a fade pass in the back corner of the end zone to put Plantation up 8-0 after a two-point conversion.
Taravella (0-2) had no answer to slow down the Lammons and Dawkins combo in the first half. Lammons connected with Dawkins for touchdown passes of 17 and 36 yards in the half.
Senior Xavier Currithers capped the first half for the Colonels as he returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown to give Plantation a 34-7 lead at the break.
