Airline adds seaplane to small fleet

Tropic Ocean Airways, which offers charter service and scheduled flights to Bimini, is expanding its fleet with an additional seaplane.

The Fort Lauderdale-based airline has added an eight-passenger Cessna Caravan Amphibian. It also flies a four-passenger Cessna 206.

Scheduled flights from Fort Lauderdale and Miami to Bimini are available on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. The company is also available for charter flights to the Bahamas, the Florida Keys and elsewhere in the state.
