Booker T. Washington, Miami Central at the top of the national polls

The national polls are out and Friday night’s clash between Miami Booker T. Washington and Miami Central should give the winner the inside track on winning a mythical national championship.

MaxPreps, Rivals and all placed the two teams in its top two with Rivals and PrepNation putting Central No. 1 and Rivals ranking Booker T. No. 1. USA Today kept Booker T. as its top-ranked team and Central ranked fifth.

Coming off its 38-3 win over Miami Northwestern, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas moved into the top 5 in MaxPreps poll where it already was ranked by PrepNation.

Taravella senior running back Semar Smith committed to Harvard. Smith will join his brother Seitu Smith, who currently plays wide receiver for the Crimson.
