18-year-old arrested in two armed robbery cases in West Kendall

Police have made an arrest in the armed robberies of two West Kendall businesses.

Brandon Ricalo, 18, was identified and apprehended after police received a Crime Stoppers tip after his image was aired on local news.

The first robbery occurred on Aug. 8 at a gasoline station on 14699 SW 56th St. the suspect struggled with the sales clerk and over the cash tray.

A second robbery occurred the next day at a liquor store 16281 SW 88th St. when the suspect pointed a firearm at the sales clerk and shouted in Spanish, “Give me the money or I’ll shoot you in the head.”

Ricalo was charged with armed robbery.
