“I really liked The Widower’s Tale by Julia Glass. It’s a lovely novel, with well drawn characters. The main character is an older man, and it’s about him and a bunch of characters, including his grandson, who live in this small town. It’s got a very clever structure, with three or four strands of plot, and you don’t see how they’re going to intersect, and then she braids them all together.”
