Florida State Seminoles’ Rashad Greene out with injury

Miami Herald Writer

With depth at wide receiver already a question, Florida State received more bad news Monday when Jimbo Fisher announced that starting wide receiver Rashad Greene (Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas) would miss several days with a finger injury.

Greene left the morning practice early and did not return.

• Starting left tackle Cameron Erving was back with the first team after being limited the past couple of days. Erving started all of last season for the Seminoles at left tackle after flipping from defensive tackle following the 2011 season.

•  Chad Abram is slotted as the Seminoles’ starting fullback, but in short-yardage situations FSU has been looking for bigger bodies to block in front of their backs. So far in camp senior defensive tackle Jacobbi McDaniel and sophomore defensive end Mario Edwards have stood out in short-yardage sets.
