Two armed men wearing ski masks ambushed and shot a Plantation man as he pulled into his driveway in the 4600 block of Northwest Fourth Court Thursday night.

Sterling Rashad Higdon, 31, was shot multiple times at about 10 p.m. Thursday and remained in critical condition late Friday afternoon, according to a Plantation Police Department news release.

The two gunmen fled west on Northwest Fourth Court in a vehicle after the shooting, and police are still looking for them.

Investigators believe the attack was not random and that Higdon was targeted, but they are not sure why.

They have asked anyone with information to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or www.browardcrimestoppers.org.
