CBS4 tapped Fox News journalist Rick Folbaum to co-anchor its weeknight 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts, beginning Monday, Aug. 26. Folbaum will join Cynthia Demos in those slots.
Eliott Rodriguez, a long-time veteran of the station who most recently has been doing the 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts, was named anchor of its noon and 6 p.m. newscasts, also effective Aug. 26.
At the Fox News Channel, Folbaum most recently anchored breaking news for “Happening Now” during the week and “America's News Headquarters” on Saturdays. He previously was an anchor at WNYW-TV in New York, where he won an Emmy in 2009 for reporting on the Sept. 11 memorial ceremony in New York.
CBS4 said Folbaum served as a foreign correspondent in London and covered the war in Kosovo, conflict in the Middle East, Prince Edward’s wedding, and the investigation of Princess Diana’s death.
