Girl killed in Miami Gardens shooting

CBS 4 Miami - A 12-year-old girl was killed when shots were fired into a house filled with kids late yesterday evening.

Family members said Tequila Forshee was sitting on a couch in the home at 20100 NW 42nd Avenue getting her hair done by her grandmother for the first day of school when a hail of bullets peppered the inside of the residence.

Forshee, who was struck in the head, died in the home. Her grandmother was shot in the leg and her sister, 14-year-old Alize, who was sitting on a nearby couch, was grazed by a bullet. The girl’s grandmother was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center where she was treated and released. The teen was treated on the scene.
