Latin food meets French wine in Miami chef’s ‘Viva Bordeaux’ recipes

Miami-based chef and sommelier Doreen Colondres, who does daily cooking segments on Fox’s Utilísima Network, has created a recipe guide for the Bordeaux Wine Council.

Dedicated to the proposition that French wines pair well Latin food, Viva Bordeaux includes appealing recipes for mini arepas, mojo-spiked yuca soup, Argentine-style steak with plantain mash, pork linguine in three-chile sauce and a flan-like plantain, banana and rum dessert. The Bordeaux wines suggested for pairing range from $15 to $44 a bottle.
